This is a two-day, two-man team, pick-your-own partner tournament where the best 18 of the 36 holes played will be used to determine a team’s overall gross and net score.
Start: Tee times assigned by tournament committee.
Format: This is a two-day ‘ringer’ tournament. A ringer tournament works this way: two-man teams play two rounds during the weekend. They take their lowest gross and net scores on each hole, producing their final 18-hole score after two days of competition. For example, in Round 1 Golfer A makes a net 6 on the first hole and his partner, Golfer B, makes a net 5. In Round 2, when they play the first hole again, Golfer A makes a net 5 and Golfer B makes a net 4. They take their best score, which is Golfer B’s Round 2 score of a 4 for the hole. Ties will be decided using the US Golf Association’s recommended procedure of matching scorecards. If teams are tied, the best aggregate score for the last three holes will determines the winner. If still tied, we will use the best score for the last six holes and if still tied, the best aggregate score for the final nine holes will determine the winner.
Prizes: There will be gross and net prizes awarded as well as prizes for skins and closest to the pin contests.
Entry fee: To be determined. Entry fee must be submitted by June 15. Entry fees and the pro shop. Checks should be made out to SSCCMGA.
